We are excited to announce our first Regional Elders Retreat!
For our churches in the Northern NSW Region, please join us at Living Hope Church of Christ at Coffs Harbour from 6pm on Friday, 24 September to Sunday, 26 September 2026, to be encouraged in your role as a spiritual leader in your community.
This retreat will mirror the program and input at our Elders Retreat in August at The Tops, and will enable you to network with our churches in your region without having to travel too far.
We would love your eldership team to join others for a time of connection, teaching and reflection.
Our focus this year is on flourishing in the role of eldership. We’ll be asking:
How do we shepherd faith communities effectively, not by relying on personal skill or reverting to striving, but by drawing from the deep reserves of God and who He has created us to be?
Across the weekend, we will explore:
- Our identity in Christ, and leading from spiritual depth rather than performance
- Drawing on the resources of God for sustainable eldership
- Our shepherding impact on those we serve
- Different ways we can support discipleship and spiritual formation in our church
Cost: $90pp (catering and event costs included).
Accommodation: We will not be providing or coordinating accommodation. Some locally based options you might consider are listed below – these are about 5-12 min drive from Living Hope Coffs Harbour (our retreat location). The weekend of 25/26 September is the first weekend of the Term 3 School holidays, so we kindly suggest you book promptly.
