The NSW Community Building Partnership Grants
The latest round of grant funding closes on Friday 10 June, 2022. This is a terrific opportunity for your church to access funds for upgrades to your building, by demonstrating community use and programs of the church which benefit the community.
Grants can be as high as $100,000, depending on the infrastructure needs of the church and could including re-roofing, new kitchens and hall renovations. Churches are more likely to be successful with grant requests if they have built a relationship with their local member of parliament.
PLEASE NOTE that any grant application needs approval from the Property Trust (as the legal land owner).
If you plan to apply for a grant, please contact James Cartwright regarding requirements as soon as possible at james.cartwright@freshhope.org.au or on 0437 415 931.
You can start preparing your application today by reading the updated Program Guidelines HERE and downloading the Eligibility Checklist!
All applications must be submitted by Friday 10 June 2022 (5pm AEST sharp). No applications will be accepted after the closing date and time. All projects must be completed by 31 March 2024.
Mission and Ministry Grants
Our Mission & Ministry Grants are now open all-year round and open to churches in the our network for projects up to $10,000.
The grants are designed to assist churches with new ministry initiatives and resourcing existing facilities or programs.
Last year, Chatswood Church of Christ applied for funding to establish a part time “next generation” ministry staff role to establish new ministries in the life of the church.
“The FaithWorX group of young graduate workers has grown,” says senior pastor William Tjoa. “Through ‘third place’ gatherings we have connected with a number of unchurched people, and the result has been the formation of a “Hope Group” studying God’s Big Story that is both a discipleship training and evangelistic group. Two baptisms have resulted from this group!”
Over the past couple of years churches in our network have used the M&M Grants for a range of projects. Liberty Church, at Greenacre, used grant funding for leadership development. Your Church, at Coffs Harbour, used their funds to upgrade playground equipment for a multicultural playgroup while Dubbo installed air-conditioning when COVID-19 restrictions forced the church to meet in their youth hall.
