FUSE T4 2024: Creating Strong Bonds Between our Youth

28 Nov 2024

For young people in churches of Christ, Castle Hill’s Restore church was the place to be on 22 November as the FUSE 2024 festival and night rally got underway for Term 4.

Over 150 students and leaders from youth groups across our network combined for games, worship, food, friends and Jesus.

In a high-energy atmosphere, FUSE-goers broke the ice during a BBQ dinner and outdoor activities before heading into the night rally.

After some enthusiastic all-in games and soul-lifting worship – complete with dancing and a mosh pit – NewHope Church’s Next Generations Pastor, Gilbert Corr (pictured), shared a powerful message about Jesus’ lesson to the rich young ruler.

Kira Linco from Restore Church said it was a wonderful night full of joy, fellowship and praise.

The highlight for me was a beautiful moment at the end of our service where our young students were joined arm in arm, lifting their praise to the Lord,” she said.

“There is no denying that the Spirit moved within the hearts of our young people that night and that students left impacted. Our prayer is that the work done in the space will continue to grow under the nurturing care of their local youth groups,” Kira added.

FUSE was made even more special this time as friends and leaders from different youth groups had the chance to reunite and share fond memories after creating strong bonds at Drastic Camp earlier in the year.

Events like FUSE and Drastic Camp create meaningful links between young people across our network – boosting their spirit, building on their knowledge and broadening their support network.
