Our Statement of Commitment to Safety

As a Christian organisation, Churches of Christ in NSW and the ACT believes that God has created each person in His image, and therefore each adult and child is valued by God and should be valued by us. We are therefore committed to forming and promoting safe environments for all people, regardless of their cultural background, beliefs, or ability.

We abhor all forms of abuse, particularly abuse towards children. We have a posture of zero-tolerance regarding abuse and will adopt, implement, and maintain systems, policies, and procedures to protect people from all forms of abuse.

We will ensure that vulnerable people can be heard and empower children by actively listening to them. We will receive allegations and concerns regarding abuse very seriously and will respond in a consistent manner and with integrity.

We respect the right for privacy of every child.
