Position Summary
To provide executive leadership of the operational, financial, and administrative functions of Churches of Christ SA & NT Inc. (CoC SANT), ensuring the organisation’s resources, systems, and people are aligned with its mission, vision, and strategic plan. The role demands strong business acumen and strategic oversight, within a Christian framework.
The General Manager (GM) is a key senior executive within CoC SANT, responsible for ensuring the operational strength, financial sustainability, and organisational compliance of the movement.
The GM partners closely with the State Minister and State Board to:
- Translate strategic vision into operational reality
- Oversee substantial financial and property assets
- Ensure effective risk management and compliance with regulatory obligations
- Manage the implementation of the strategic pan and utilisation of resources to enable vibrant, healthy churches and ministries across the network
- Be accountable for the resources, operations and financial management of the strategic plan
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Degree-level qualifications in business, commerce, accounting, or a related discipline
- CPA/CA (or eligibility) strongly preferred
- Significant experience in operational and administrative management
- Demonstrated high-level financial acumen, including managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex property portfolios
- Proven experience in enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance
- Track record of managing high-performing teams and delivering strategic outcomes
- Commitment to the ethos and mission of CoC SANT and the future of the movement
Desirable:
- Postgraduate qualifications in business, management, or leadership
- Theological/ministry qualification to support effective partnership with the State Minister and alignment with the movement’s mission
- Experience in faith-based, not-for-profit, or community service organisations
- Understanding of and alignment with the Churches of Christ movement and ethos
