Position: Pastor, Bathurst Church of Christ
Hours: Part-time, 3 days / week (ongoing)
Location: Bathurst, NSW
Remuneration: The role will be paid according to Churches of Christ in NSW and ACT recommendations +12% super.

About the Position
We are seeking an enthusiastic and community minded minister to collaboratively lead our ministry teams and help build our community through:
- Comply with all Safe Ministry and Workplace, Health & Safety (WHS) requirements of the church.
- Teaching, worship and discipleship training.
- Maintaining and extending our existing community outreach and pastoral care.
- Supporting our existing programs for children.
- Developing programs for young adults and families.
- Leading and developing spirituality within the church.
Theological Emphasis
We believe the message of the gospel should be shared at every opportunity.
We hold the Bible to be God’s revealed word, written by people as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit – Matt 5: 17-18 & 2 Tim 3: 16-17

Essential Criteria
- Be passionate about Jesus and His church.
- Authentically model the love of Christ to all.
- Accept all people in the love of Christ as a significant and special creation of God.
- Provide services and programs that promote spiritual and emotional health for our community.
- Work with the leadership team to develop the church as a community hub.
- Encourage and support all members to become a part of our community.
- Have undertaken a formal theological degree or able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
- Be endorsed with or willing to be endorsed with Churches of Christ in NSW and ACT.
Must have obtained, or be willing to obtain:-
- Creating Safe Spaces Certificate
- Be willing to provide a National Criminal History Check (Police Check)
- Working with Children Certificate
- Be eligible to work in Australia
- Preferred Candidates will be asked to provide additional information in accordance with our Procedure for Staff and Volunteers.
Key Relationships and Responsibilities
Accountability: Be accountable to the Church Council and Elders, being part of the Eldership team with equal authority as the other elders.
Spiritual leadership: Provide spiritual oversight. Facilitate weekly worship services and visit Bible study groups, supported by our members.
Personal growth and pastoral care: Work with the pastoral care team to support our community members, including vulnerable older parishioners.
