Kingsway Community Care is seeking a permanent part-time Team Leader (25 hrs per week) to oversee our housing project, Platform Nine. This role combines frontline support with team leadership to provide trauma-informed crisis accommodation and hope to women, families, and men across South East Sydney.

Kingsway Community Care is a Christian faith-based organisation committed to serving the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of South East Sydney. Guided by our Christian ethos, we extend compassion, hope, and transformation to those experiencing hardship.

Through our housing project, Platform Nine, we provide crisis accommodation and wrap-around support for women, families, and men experiencing homelessness, particularly as a result of domestic and family violence.

We are also a Child Safe Organisation, committed to the safety, participation, and empowerment of all children and young people.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to work alongside our team to oversee Platform Nine and ensure the delivery of high-quality client support.

This leadership role will:

  • Provide supervision, guidance, and support to staff, volunteers, and students.
  • Respond to crisis situations and conduct intake and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
  • Engage with stakeholders and build strong community partnerships.
  • Participate in and contribute to the after-hours on-call roster.

This is both a hands-on and strategic role, balancing frontline service with leadership and compliance responsibilities.

About You

You will be a woman who shares our mission and values, and who has a heart for walking alongside those experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or higher in Social Work, Community Services, or related field.
  • Experience in homelessness, domestic violence, crisis accommodation services or related field.
  • Experience in leadership and supervision skills.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice and child protection legislation.
  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Approved to work in Australia.
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster.
  • Demonstrated commitment to child safety and safeguarding practices.
