Transitional Ministries Association of Australia (TMAA) is hosting three online interim ministry training programs in 2025.
Delivered online, the sessions include: Interim Ministry for Today’s Church on 5-7 March 2025, Intentional Interim Ministry (Session 1) on 5-8 May 2025, and Intentional Interim Ministry (Session 2) on 14-15 October 2025. Detailed course outlines are provided below.

1. Interim Ministry for Today’s Church (5-7 March) (online)
Cost: $320.00 pp | Duration: Three days
A three-day, interdenominational, intensive course in training pastors and ministry leaders in the principles and effective practice of facilitating an interim pastoral ministry for a church during the period between permanent pastoral placements.
This course involves formal input from skilled trainers and practitioners, interaction with other participants, reading and other reference material.
NB. This is a pre-requisite course for the fuller training in a model for intentional interim ministry.
2. Intentional Interim Ministry (Session 1), 5-8 May (online)
Cost: $560.00 pp | Duration: Four days
Four-day training event for intentional interim ministry. This is the first part of full training with two final days in October, with fieldwork requirements between the two events. It will build on the teaching provided in the Interim Ministry for Today’s Church course. It involves formal input from trained practitioners, pre- and in-course reading, and small group work in breakout rooms.
3. Intentional Interim Ministry (Session 2), 14-15 October (online)
Cost: $200.00 pp | Duration: Two days
A two-day course completing the formal course training for intentional interim ministry. The course will involve further input from trainers but largely consists of group interaction around practical learning undertaken as fieldwork following IIM Session 1.
