PPE Olympics a winner at residential care sites

27 Aug 2020

As part of staff training at Residential Care sites, knowing the efficient and correct ways to don personal protective equipment (PPE) is important, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. To assist with this and have a little fun along the way, Fresh Hope Care introduced the ‘PPE Olympics’.

On Friday 19 June 2020 teams assembled for a range of events and cheer squads sang the PPE Olympic song. Julie McDonald OAM, a true Olympic athlete, accepted the very important role of timekeeper.

All the sites and the timekeeper participated via an electronic Teams Meeting Link. Residents were able to participate while suitably socially distanced and really got behind their teams.

Residents and staff had so much fun that they are keen for other similar events in the future.
