For the first time, young adults from eight Sydney churches across our network gathered at Restore Church in Castle Hill for an evening of heartfelt worship, connection and spiritual renewal.
“My favourite part was just the opportunity to connect within the young adults network and continue to build those relationships and just share, and knowing Jesus more and spend time with him,” said Georgia Cross, one of the participants.
The worship, led by young adults from Restore Church, flowed organically as they allowed the Spirit to guide the room into authentic expressions of adoration. Peter Sargent, Young Adults Leader at Connect Church Engadine and one of the event coordinators, described the atmosphere as “raw, real, and completely Spirit-led.”

“From start to finish, there was a tangible presence in the room. It wasn’t about ‘creating’ space for God to move. It was about recognising the space that’s always available and stepping into it fully.”
A powerful moment came during communion, as young adults paused to reflect on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice. Rather than being a separate moment, communion was woven into the flow of worship, becoming an opportunity for worship and uniting the room in reverence.
Charlie Burke from Crossway Oak City Church brought a timely message from the book of Revelation titled ‘Coming Back to Your First Love’ urging the young adults to lay aside distractions and reorient their lives around deep intimacy with Jesus.
As the service concluded, the sense of community grew stronger. Instead of heading home, the young adults visited nearby shops, brought back food to share and began meaningful conversations, forging new friendships and connections.
The worship night left a lasting impact, with many hoping for future gatherings. “If they do it again, absolutely, for sure I would go,” Georgia said. Peter also shared this view and excitement for future gatherings. “It was a weekend marked by freedom, worship, and unity, and we’re only just getting started,” he said.
