Join us at Dunmore House, Pendle Hill as we create a unique space for contemplation, communion, reflection and prayer on Wednesday 5 March from 10am-12 noon called “All The Way Down: Entering the Lenten Season”, hosted by Nathan Marshall from the Network Resource Team.
Ash Wednesday begins the invitation into the season of Lent in the liturgical year, commemorating the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the wilderness. This year, our focus will be a reflection on the kenotic act of powerlessness, as we consider what it means to go ‘all the way down’ with Jesus in this journey of descent. How might we navigate this wilderness-forming season together as we face our resistance, and what might a ‘fast of power’ have to teach us? You are welcome, whether a pastor, elder, pilgrim or prophet, to come and be encouraged and challenged by other Christ-followers as we attempt to listen to the voice of God together.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
