Volumes: 1890-1895 (V-X); 1896-1899 (I-IV).
Please note. In the 1890’s, the number of issues produced per calendar year was dependent upon the cost of paper and number of subscribers; hence you’ll see a variation of 12, 26 or 50 issues for any particular year in this decade. The periodical title also changed from ‘The Australian Christian Standard’ to the ‘Australian Christian,’ hence the change of volume numbering. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that some issues in this volume contain images, quotes, and names of deceased persons; and language reflective of historical times, culture and attitudes.
